We agreed that the D6/9 chord on the tab sounds better with an additional F# on the bottom E string i.e. on the second fret.
Other activity
We also reviewed the strumming for Romance del Amor and The Streets of London.
We also played Creedence Clear Water Revival - Bad Moon Rising and John and Paul dazzled us with the opening of Eight Days a Week.

Session 11 24 01 22
I hope you all enjoyed Monday.
To recap,
Glen Miller, In the mood tab sent by Geoff (keep practising and get that
swinging rhythm)
the picking progression was C, Am, Dm, G
- thumb picking bass notes on 5th, 5th, 4th and 6th string
- 1st and 2nd fingers picking on the 2nd and 3rd strings.
- You can then add the 3rd finger to pick the 1st string
Any chord progression works as you are learning to move around the
strings while changing chords and keep a steady rhythm pattern going.
The tab Phil sent (Romance de Amor) is all about playing a tune by
picking, rather than picking chords to accompany a song. We should
practice both!
I also showed you using a raking motion while strumming to add emphasis
on some of the beats i.e. My Sweet Lord.
Please let me know if you want to try out anything else, or what you
would like to repeat. It's important that everyone has fun.
See you
Paul
